On February 4 a ceremonial patriotic and New Year’s concert of schools associated around the Association for Cooperation with the East Memoramus took place in Junior High School No. 50 in Poznań.
A large group of exceptional guests came to the concert – representatives of associations and organizations commemorating important historical events and associating Poles distinguished for their homeland.
We listened to the speech of the headmaster of Junior High School No. 50, Mr. Wiesław Banas, who characterized the activities of the Memoramus Association and the history of cooperation with our school, and the president of the Association, Mr. Wincenty Dowojna, inaugurated the concert by inviting them to sing together.
Participants watched the staging prepared by students from the theater group operating in Junior High School No. 50 commemorating mass deportations to Siberia and the Katyn massacre, and listened to patriotic songs performed by the vocal group of Junior High School No. 50 and High School from Oborniki.
Finally, as part of farewell to the Christmas period, students of High School No. V, High School No. VIII, High School in Oborniki Wielkopolskie and Junior High School No. 50 and 58 sang Christmas carols and songs.
The concert ended with the singing of all participants.
